DISCOVERING ME- A POEM

   

Here we are all away from our homes, our parents, our brothers, our beloved family, with a passion to reach great heights, become better people and to make our parents proud.

Let us all work in the direction of our dreams, work our hearts out, be the best, be one.

Let us make our Maverick beyond ordinary, standing united.

In this journey, as we discover ourselves, let us take a few moments and instill these lines into our thoughts, which I have penned down for everyone of you. Philip Kotler!


DISCOVERING ME

In the middle of the night, amidst the pouring showers;
When the dreams come to a standstill,
I wake up to see the blossom of the to be flowers,
And envisage to be one of them, in the midnight chill.

When I look back at my life,
And wonder how much it has changed overtime,
I cannot help but recall all that strife,
Which instilled that passion in me to be what I am.

Far away from my beloved home,
In a place where all I can do is feel my parents' love,
My thoughts wander and roam,
So I try to seek strength from the sky above.

In calm confidence, I affirm that divine love is guiding me,
And guarding my every endeavour in the right and perfect way;
For this I am grateful, I let it be.
Now my only onus is to bring out the best in me, come what may.

I used to be that little kid who is woken up my mom every morning;
Now I rub my eyes in the shade of the sun's rays just to hurry .
I used to play with my little brother in our palace adorning;
Now I realise I don't have even a minute to worry.

I want to go back to them, but no, not yet;
Let me bring out the flair and artistry in me,
Let my passion drive me, my courage push me to the very limit,
Let myself discover the very me.

I am not going to give up no matter what;
Because just when the caterpillar thought the world was ending, he turned into a butterfly.
And when I feel this is what success is all about,
I will go back and hug them in a joyous high.
